About us and how to Join Rotary

As a worldwide organisation the Rotary Club has over 33,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and over 1.2 million members worldwide. Our Club is looking for people of any age and from all career backgrounds to join our club as Full Rotary members to use their time, talents, professional skills and energy to improve the lives of people in Swindon and others around the world. In exchange you can enjoy the benefits of business networking, personal development, new friends, hearing informative and inspirational speakers, having a great deal of fun and experiencing that special sense of fulfilment that comes from achieving something really worthwhile.

Full membership of Rotary is wonderful opportunity to give something back to your community however we know that for some people the regular commitment can be just too great a barrier. So as not to exclude people in this position we offer a membership which is less demanding and we hope, just as fulfilling as Full Rotary membership. It's called Friends of Rotary. As a Friend of the Rotary Club of Swindon Thamesdown you will be kept abreast of club activities and invited to participate in the many events we run throughout the year.
