Avebury Rocks - 2011 The Presentation

Ugg
Late November saw the cheque ceremony for AveburyRocks 2011 where our club along with the Rotary Club of Marlborough and Love Hope Strength Foundation presented a cheque for £30,000 to the Prospect Hospice! Above are a selection of those involved along with some very dodgy cavemen. Click here for more pictures

Discussions and preparations are now well underway to once again meet up with our friends from the Rotary Club of Marlborough, Love Hope Strength Foundation and the Prospect Hospice to put on another fabulous event.
Last year we raised just over £30,000 and had a great time doing it - let's make 2012 even better!

More details will be available after Christmas

Avebury Rocks - 2011

Our first Project of this Rotary Year - In association with the Rotary Club of Marlborough, Love Hope Strength Foundation and the Prospect Hospice.

The event itself consisted of a 20 mile charity trek starting and finishing at one of the finest and largest Neolithic monuments in Europe Avebury. Whilst also enjoying the beautiful scenery of the ancient Ridgeway and Marlborough Downs followed by a Rock Concert featuring Newton Faulkner and Nick Harper plus many more talented performers.
A great time was had by all Walkers, Revellers and Helpers alike and with approximately 800 tickets sold there should be sizable contribution heading to our local Swindon Charity - The Prospect Hospice.

Well done to all who took part it was a great achievement and fantastic event!
